Well anyhow the Realtek WLAN modul have the exact same issue so...I really hope they can do something with that like BIOS update or anything like this.

But at the moment I don't know the real solution, maybe you can solve the problem partially like me with updated drivers. In this case I have 300 warning only on every restart. But in case of power off my system and power on again the number of issues are zero.

I hope same can be reached with Intel WLAN modul too, but I have never tried before.

Here s another update for those in need, have a try.

1 - Install the latest realtek driver for the WLAN module from HP support. (BtW Are the dates of drivers correct in that website?)

2 - Go to the Windows device manager and find the same module and right-click-update its drivers.

Let me know.

Still I have problems with my WLAN module that I have updated last week. It disconnects and I need to reboot.

The flood event was over anyway.

I redownloaded and installed the WLAN module dated of yesterday, which I don't think it changed cause it asked me to overwrite files when uncompressing the install file.

After updating the driver the flood ID17 reappeared.

Now it stopped again after updating from device manager as well.

@Agas, this may work if you have the Realtek WLAN Module, but i have the Intel, WLAN module, and have tried everything, for the HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop, there seems to be a lot of Intel drivers that were placed on the HP driver website on the 14th of Feb

Updating the Realtek WLAN driver (to one dated 3-12-2015) has had a positive impact.

I no longer have a continuous stream of events being logged.  Maybe one or two on a power up and a limited burst following a restart.  Clearly a significant improvement.  Why didn't HP helpdesk (thru the Support Assistant) suggest this?  Just scratched a hairy part of his body and said it was unimportant and safe to ignore.  In my long experience entries get written to error logs for a reason!

Checked a number of other Realtek and INTEL drivers while I was at it.  Many proved to be superceded.  None of these were flagged as available by HP Support Assistant.  System seems a lot snappier and quicker to reboot now.... 🙂

Thanks for the pointer...

i will be going through the Intel wireless drivers and the chipset section, and installing all of them and see if this resolves the issue

wrote on an Intel froum board and below is what they suggesstied i do.

For your convenience, here is the link: Download Intel® PROSet/Wireless Software for Windows® 10 File name: Wireless_18.32.0_PROSet64_Win10.exe. Please proceed as follows below:

1. Download and save the drivers from the link above.

2.  Go to Control Panel, Programs and Features and Uninstall the current "Intel® PROSet/Wireless Software", if it is installed. When prompted, choose the option to "Discard settings".

3.  In Control Panel, Device Manager, Network Adapters, right click on the Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 3165 and Uninstall it. Make sure you mark the option to "Delete the driver software for this device".

4.  Reboot the PC or scan for hardware changes, check device manager and if an older driver is detected and installed, repeat the actions to uninstall and delete it as well. Repeat this process until the OS does not allow deleting the driver, or until the controller shows as Unknown Device.

5. Reboot or scan for hardware changes, then uninstall and delete any older driver versions as you did for the Wireless adapter.

6. Install the Intel® Wireless driver. During the first steps of PROSet/Wireless installation,  make sure to customize the installation and install all the 3 driver components.

I'm glad to know your machine is bettet now, however as I said it is a partial solution, the problem still exists if you will try to run any of linux distros with wlan support. The HP doesn't care because in my case the device has been sold with w10 but it's really matter for me at least.

I hope they will provide a BIOS update, anyway which can solve this. Let me know the BIOS version of the impacted models, I'm curious..

I have not run what inteo have suggessted still having the issue, i put this post up here, sonif other people want to have a go, there is no BIOS update according to HP UK Tech Support for this unit.
They have a copy of my event viewer to see if someone can tell me what the issue is, if not refund and buy a custom built laptop, but at similar specs they are double the price.
