has this problem been solved by the HP support yet ?

Windows 8 has finally been released, officially ...

so when will we get the switchable graphic drivers ????

No, Microsoft has not released win 8 officially for END USERS. All the editions you find at microsoft.com are release previews. Also, MSDN is a place where microsoft puts new edition of win in for developers in order for them to get familiar with the structure of new win. I think the final release date is in October.

The final version of Windows 8 is available to Microsoft subscribers and students who have access to Dreamspark Premium. These are not release previews.

Yes you are right. But I mean the public availability.

Just saying, Lenovo released drivers for Win 8 + switchable graphics today.

The worst thing is that topics concerning Win 8 + switchable graphics are being ignored by HP experts. Not even one of them wrote sth like: "We know about the situation and we are sorry for inconveniences. We can assure you all that by <for example> 15th September you will get proper drivers."

Mr Ashkan, I had an e-mail from microsoft stating windows 8 enterprise has finally been released for trial, that's official as it's the final release, I guess microsoft know better, wouldn't you say so ?

I absolutely agree. At HP bad software support.
Latest drivers for my laptop dated January 30. And they really do not work in windose 8.
Most likely my next laptop will be another manufacturer.

You are right... Microsoft has released win 8 officially..

I really don't know why HP ignores this important matter. The support expert told me they would put the new drivers on the net, but now they ignore this topic.

HP, you had always one of the best support groups among the vendors. What has happened to you? 😞

Agreed. I've bought HP for my company for many years now, but this is the last HP computer I buy. I guess it's time to give Lenovo or Samsung a try.

We're all using consumer computers and Microsoft has not released Windows 8 to consumers.  It's not unreasonable for HP to wait until then to release updated drivers, which apparently they've said they'll do.

Two things:

First one:

"It's not unreasonable for HP to wait until then to release updated drivers, which apparently they've said they'll do."  Please, show me where they've said that.

Second one (probably more important):

Who cares if Windows 8 is not in stores? It was released for public, you can get it officially so I don't understand Your point. Other main notebook developers (like Lenovo) were able to provide their clients with drivers.
