Is the driver installed properly?
Do you now see the Atheros wireless card listed under the network section of the device manager?
Does it report working?
If so, there is some other issue that I wouldn't be able to help you with, as troubleshooting network connections is not an area with which I have much experience.

I have a 2000-2b49WM Laptop PC with AMD E-300 Accelerated Processor and i recently installed windows 7 on it. I cannot find the drivers that i am missing on the HP website.

Hello, i am new to HP too, i use HP Pavilion dv6 and there is a problem with the wireless adapter.
i run on windows 7 32 bit.
i tried to install several wireless adapter already, but none of them can be enabled .
here is my device manager Network adapters:

Neither of those ID's are for the wireless card.
This should be the driver for the PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8168:
This should be the one for the card reader (or use the one from your PC's support and driver page.
There are dozens and dozens of dv6 models, so I don't know exactly what driver you need.
