doesn't have a start up or reboot disc, says to load windows on hard drive, simply won't do anything and I have a lot of files and photo work on it(I'm on my wife's mac)

i have a problem with my hp laptop.

it says when i start the laptop: the fan is not working. this pc wil shutdown in 15 sec. 

press enter to continu startup.

what can i do to fix this problem.

I was working on my mini hp notebook it suddent stopped working, restarted. Since then it has been showing me only message as below:

"Please run the Hard Disk Test in System Diagnostics.

Why is this happening , i tried many similar trouble shoot as have been assisting in this tread.

Hi HP support help me to resolve this problem, I have many important things in my laptop whichi should be got back to my hand unless I will regret myself Why i bought this.

It is really frustrating , how this could happen itself suddenly.
