- [FAQ] Setting up a manual IP for a Poly Studio X, G7500, Pol...
Hello all,
After a Factory Reset / Restore or after OOB Out Of Box a user may want to set a manual IP address on a Poly Studio X, G7500 or Poly Studio G62 and or a Poly TC8 or TC10
Depending on the situation if the device was previously set up for a specific Provider and/or was using Poly Lens a device may return to the previous provider or will automatically add itself to Poly Lens.
NOTE: The below was tested using a Poly Studio X50 running PolyOS 4.7.0 and older firmware or later firmware or hardware may look different
If the device was previously paired with a Poly TC8 or TC10 it will try to reconnect to the device and complete the setting up this way:
- During this phase the Setting Button on the left side will provide access to any Network or VLAN or LLDP or Security Settings of the actual TC8 or TC10
- The default username is admin and the password is case sensitive aka any letters are in uppercase.
Example 741AFC when the serial number would be 8L194450741AFC
NOTE: You will be asked to select a new password after entering the old password again.
- DHCP can be disabled if a manual IP is required.
- Save the setting to continue the Set Up
- In case of Microsoft Teams the Application will be installed
- In the Teams Application the same Network menu is accessible via Settings Button
The same is applicable for Partners like Zoom or Google.
If there is no connection with a TC8 or TC10 please go ahead and connect either a Mouse & Keyboard or a USB Touch Screen
- After the Reset you will be asked to connect a TC8 or TC10
- If this is skipped the same selection menu as shown for the Providers above etc. should be show. Once the device has booted into the selected Provider the IP Address, VLAN, LLDP etc can be changed.
In case Poly Provider is being selected either pull up the menu and select Settings
or swipe from the right to the left of the Screen to pull out a similar menu and select settings
- Again the username admin and the previous selected password needs to be added to access the Lan Properties
Then simply follow up:
