HP Office Jet Pro 6968 pack

Getting the same issue as many other users. I bought a combo pack of the 902 Black XL and a set of three colors. The Cyan seems to work but the other two are getting the older generation error. They are exactly the same as the ones I am replacing. I even got the yellow to work fine for a minute until I tried to fix the magenta.

This isn't a me problem. This is a HP problem. These are HP branded cartridges. Don't say it's a 902 which my 6968 is compatible with and then suddenly it's too old. I don't want to buy ink from you. I can't even turn off the **bleep** error messages or align my printer without the color cartridges because it won't scan the page with just black. Greedy as hell. They are 902 cartridges so there is no such thing as too old. Models don't change otherwise you change the model number.

How you going to fix this?

I understand you are receiving an "Older generation cartridge" error.
