HP OfficeJet 8600
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

i've had no issues with my printer until about a week ago

i have no errors on the screen but when I try to print it sounds like it cycles for almost 2 minutes with the cartridges moving back and forth (like it is cleaning)  then it eventually prints

i haven't made any changes in the settings, drivers are up to date, i've turned printer on/off

this is driving me crazy and I don't want to get a new printer

any suggestions on what could cause this?

Thank you,

Any chance that it initially tries to feed a page and fails? If so, the pickup rollers might need to be cleaned.
