I bought a two pack of the 925XL HP cartridge from Amazon. I used the first one, and then when it ran out I put the second one in and the printer told me it was outdated. I finally talked to some HP guy (I suspect a call center in India) and he was clueless. After a too long call he told me that "I am sorry to tell you that your cartridge is outdated and cannot be used". I told him it was the same package and the same cartridge as the one that was in my printer. Tough. luck.. no resolution. The printer reads a code on the cartridge and if it is "out of date" then it blocks the cartridge from being used. Otherwise it is a perfectly good cartridge. He blamed it on Amazon for selling me an older cartridge, but said that unless I bought it from HP, there would be no resolution.. My next printer will NOT BE HP !!! I have heard that is you do not subscribe to their printer ink program this also happens.
