Hi @Erigga,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding printer!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
To manually align the print head on your HP DeskJet 2700, follow these steps:
1. Load Paper
- Make sure you have A4 or Letter-sized plain paper loaded into the input tray of the printer.
2. Press and Hold the "Cancel" Button
- With the printer powered on, press and hold the "Cancel" button (the red button with a triangle inside) on the printer for about 3-5 seconds.
3. Initiate the Alignment Process
- After holding the "Cancel" button, the printer should start printing an alignment page.
- Once the page is printed, do not remove the paper yet.
4. Place the Alignment Page on the Scanner
- Open the printer's scanner lid.
- Place the alignment page (printed by the printer in step 3) face-down on the scanner glass, aligning it with the indicated corner (usually top-left corner).
5. Press the "Resume" Button
- Press the "Resume" button (green button with a checkmark) to begin the alignment process.
6. Wait for Alignment to Complete
- The printer will scan the alignment page and adjust the print head.
- Once done, the alignment process is complete, and the printer should be ready to print without any alignment issues.
If This Doesn’t Work:
- Ensure the cartridges are seated properly, and make sure that the paper is properly aligned in the tray.
- You can also try restarting the printer and repeating the alignment process.
