No matter how many times I clean or replace my black ink cartridge it always prints with white streaks and most of the times fades into not printing black at all. I’ve used all the tools in the app toolbox and used all the cleaning suggestions but nothing works.

To assist better:
- Are you using genuine HP ink cartridges?
- Does the copy print out the same way?
- What's the application you are trying to print from?
- Have you tried printing from a different application or device?
While you respond to that, let's print a Print Quality Diagnostic page -Post the Print Quality Diagnostic page here so we can help you further.
You may also refer to this document with steps to fix the " Print Quality Issues" issue applicable to your printer - Print Quality Issues
Also, try updating the printer's firmware - HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware

Hi Andy,
I am using genuine HP cartridges I bought from Target. I’ve bought the black several times and still have the same issues. I have a brand new cartridge in there now and it shows high ink levels.
When I copy the black ink still streaks and fades out.
I’ve tried to printing several different things from my iPhone, my husbands iPhone, and my work laptop. IE work documents, recipes, tickets…
I’ve tried cleaning the ink cartridges using the app and running the print diagnostics but still have the same results.

After trying all sorts of things in the past week, I came up with a solve! I had horizontal lines/streaking and finally pulled out my cartridge, put a piece of packing tape lightly over the dots and lines that usually have the sticker over it when taken out of packaging brand new and SHOOK the crap out of the cartridge, old school toner style. Before this, I cleaned cartridges, used all the tool functions, cleaned around the cartridge as they recommend and it didn’t help. Shake it a ton and remove the tape and put it back in and it’s 99 % resolved. I have the Envy Photo 6200.

So what's the solution here? I have the same issue and already received a 3rd replacement printer... is there a way to fix this? would be nice if you could have posted the solution here and not privately messaged -.-
