Hi,
I recently replaced a black ink cartridge, to a HP 201x. Since then, I have blue spots on all my print outs. I tested printing the exact same text in two version, one in black and one i in light blue to see if I still had spots when the black cartridge wasn't it use. the black version had the blue spots, whereas the black one didn't. I have contacted the company where I bought the cartridge but they wanted me to check here first, thinking that it might have to do with my printer and not the cartridge. I am sceptical but what could be causing this?

@PamGM, Welcome to HP Support Community!
Follow these steps to print a cleaning page:
-
From the Home screen on the printer control panel, touch Setup (
).
-
Touch Service, and then touch Cleaning Page.
-
Load plain, white paper when you are prompted.
-
Touch OK to begin the cleaning process.
-
Try to print again to see if the issue is resolved.
If you still have issues, follow the steps from the document Fixing Poor Print Quality to isolate and resolve the issue.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
