I have installed new cartridges and cleaned the print head. I can print a print quality diagnostic page but cannot copy the above page or anything else. I also can’t print from wireless even though the printer receives the signal but will just send through a blank page. I have the photosmart 7520.

Hi @Lynn276,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd be happy to help you!
If your HP Photosmart 7520 can print diagnostic pages but cannot copy or print wirelessly, it sounds like there may be multiple issues affecting your printer. Here’s a step-by-step guide to troubleshoot and potentially resolve these issues:
**1. Check Copy Functionality:
Ensure Correct Settings:
- On the printer’s control panel, ensure that you are using the correct settings for copying. Check if the document is properly aligned and placed on the scanner glass or in the automatic document feeder (ADF).
Test Copying Different Documents:
- Try copying different types of documents to rule out a specific issue with the original document.
Reset Printer:
- Sometimes resetting the printer can resolve issues with copying:
- Turn Off Printer: Turn off your HP Photosmart 7520 and unplug it from the power source.
- Wait 30 Seconds: Wait for about 30 seconds.
- Plug In and Turn On: Plug the printer back in and turn it on.
**2. Address Wireless Printing Issues:
Check Wireless Connection:
- Ensure that the printer is properly connected to your Wi-Fi network:
- Print Network Configuration Page: Use the printer’s control panel to print a network configuration page. This will show the current network status and connection details.
- Reconnect to Wi-Fi: If needed, reconnect the printer to your Wi-Fi network by going to Wireless Setup on the control panel and selecting your network.
Update Printer Drivers:
- Make sure you have the latest printer drivers installed on your computer:
- Visit HP Support: Go to the HP Support website.
- Download Drivers: Search for your printer model and download the latest drivers for your operating system.
Check for Firmware Updates:
- Firmware updates can resolve connectivity issues:
- Visit HP Support: Check for any available firmware updates for your printer model on the HP Support website.
Use HP Print and Scan Doctor:
- Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor tool to diagnose and fix wireless printing issues.
Please find the remaining steps in the next post.

Hi @Lynn276,
Please find the remaining steps below.
**3. Resolve Blank Pages Issue:
Check Ink Cartridges:
- Verify that the ink cartridges are installed correctly and that there are no issues with the cartridges themselves. Even if you have installed new cartridges, they might be defective.
Clean Print Heads:
- Perform a print head cleaning through the printer’s control panel or the HP software on your computer.
Check Print Settings:
- Ensure that the print settings are correctly configured on your computer and that the correct paper size and type are selected.
**4. Check for Error Messages:
- Review Error Messages:
- Look for any error messages on the printer’s display or your computer. These messages can provide clues about the underlying issue.
By following these steps, you should be able to diagnose and address the problems with copying and wireless printing on your HP Photosmart 7520.
If none of these steps resolve the issues, contact HP phone support for further assistance.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance
