Troubleshooting "No Warranty" Message on HP LaserJet MFP M234dwe Printer
If you're encountering a "No Warranty" message and are unable to print after replacing the toner on your HP LaserJet MFP M234dwe Printer, follow these steps:
-
Verify Toner Cartridge:
- Ensure that the toner cartridge is compatible with the HP LaserJet MFP M234dwe. The cartridge should be genuine and intended for use with your specific printer model.
-
Reinstall the Toner Cartridge:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Open the toner access door and remove the toner cartridge.
- Carefully reinstall the toner cartridge, ensuring it clicks into place securely.
- Close the access door, plug the printer back in, and turn it on.
-
Check the Toner Cartridge Status:
- Access the printer's status and supply details via the HP Smart app on your iOS device.
- Make sure the app detects the toner cartridge and check for any specific error messages related to the toner.
-
Reset the Printer:
- Power off the printer, unplug it from the power source, and wait for about a minute.
- Plug it back in and turn it on. This may clear temporary errors.
-
Update Printer Firmware:
- Ensure the printer firmware is up to date. Use the HP Smart app to check for firmware updates and install them if available.
-
Check for Obstructions or Paper Jams:
- Open the printer and inspect for any paper jams or obstructions that might prevent it from working correctly.
-
Use Genuine HP Cartridges:
- If you are using a non-HP toner, the printer might not recognize it properly. Make sure to use genuine HP toner cartridges which are covered under the warranty.
-
Contact HP Support:
- If the issue persists, consider contacting HP Customer Support for assistance. Provide them with information about the error and the steps you've already tried.
Following these steps should help you resolve the error and get your printer working again. If you require further help, HP support can provide additional assistance.
