Unfortunately, we do not have an option to downgrade the firmware.

Well, I kinda thought I was contacting HP Support through here? All I am asking for is a link to the "prior" firmware upgrade for the HP OfficeJet Pro 8710. I don't understand why nobody will even entertain if this is possible? I have asked this question multiple times.

Apologies. I do now see where someone stated that the firmware cannot be downgraded. Can you advise when an update can be provided to resolve this issue? Currently I just have a large brick sitting on my desk that was once a nice printer. 🙂

I'll definitely check with the second level team, meanwhile you can use genuine ink and print.

Thank you for your response. It does not make sense to me that I should go pay over $100 because of a firmware upgrade. I can't accept that as a solution unless HP would like to send me some free print cartridges for my inconvenience. But we know that will not happen. It's been 3 weeks now and there has been no acceptable solution provided by HP. My printer does not work after the firmware upgrade as it did with the prior firmware upgrade. Please advise how this can be escalated?
