Up until recently my printer was printing normally
But lately, I've been receiving messages that says that my black cartridge has failed or damaged, i have replaced it with a known good cartridge but it still says that it is damaged or failed, I have tried fixing solutions from YouTube by performing a "Cartridge Reset" the printer indicator is still blinking but it recognized it in the software in my computer, it only lasted for a little bit but then the messages came back again.
What might be the problem??

Hi @JanrickV,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like you’re dealing with a persistent cartridge issue. Here are a few things you can try.
Check Cartridge Contacts:
- Remove the cartridge and check the contacts inside the printer and on the cartridge itself. Make sure they are clean and free of any ink residue or debris. Use a lint-free cloth or a cotton swab lightly moistened with water to clean them, then dry thoroughly.
Check Cartridge Compatibility:
- Ensure that the replacement cartridge is compatible with your HP Deskjet 2060 K110 model. Sometimes, even new cartridges can be faulty or incompatible.
Update Printer Firmware:
- Sometimes, updating the printer’s firmware can resolve compatibility and error issues. Check the HP support website for any available firmware updates for your printer model.
Perform a Printer Reset:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source. Wait for about a minute, then plug it back in and turn it on. This can help reset the printer's internal electronics.
Check for Paper Jams or Obstructions:
- Ensure there are no paper jams or obstructions in the printer that might be affecting cartridge function.
Reinstall Printer Software:
- Sometimes, reinstalling the printer software on your computer can resolve communication issues. Remove the existing printer drivers and software, then download and install the latest version from HP’s website.
Try a Different Cartridge:
- If possible, try using another new, genuine HP black cartridge to see if the problem persists. Sometimes, even new cartridges can be defective.
If none of these steps resolve the issue, the problem might be related to the printer’s hardware.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
