Hi @JayC413
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your printer is only printing pink and leaving streaks, it likely indicates an issue with the color cartridges or printhead. Here are some steps you can try to resolve this:
1. Check Ink Levels
- Ensure that all color cartridges have sufficient ink. Sometimes, low ink in one cartridge can affect color output.
2. Clean the Printheads
- If you haven’t already done so, run the printhead cleaning utility from your printer’s maintenance menu. This can usually be found in the printer settings on the control panel or through the HP Smart app.
3. Perform a Printhead Alignment
- After cleaning, run the printhead alignment to ensure everything is properly aligned. This can also be found in the maintenance section of the printer settings.
4. Inspect Cartridges
- Remove the cartridges and check for any physical damage or clogs:
- Nozzle Check: Use a damp lint-free cloth to gently clean the nozzles of the cartridges. Be careful not to touch the contacts.
- Cartridge Seating: Ensure that the cartridges are seated properly in their slots.
5. Try a Different Set of Cartridges
- If possible, replace the color cartridges with new or known-good cartridges to see if that resolves the issue.
6. Run a Test Print
- Print a test page or a color diagnostic page to check if the colors are being produced correctly.
7. Check for Firmware Updates
- Make sure your printer’s firmware is up to date. Updates can sometimes fix printing issues.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
