Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have my printer setup to only print in black and white yet my color ink cartridges continue to deplete. I am sure that I'm not printing in grayscale, which I understand would be using my color ink as well. Why is it still using my color ink when I print in black and white only? Is there a fix for this?

HP Recommended

A small amount of all inks is used for printhead maintenance, and for printhead cleaning. If you turn often your printer off-on you will waste a small amount of all inks.
