Hi @TYW1106 ,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you're experiencing faded colors on your HP ENVY 5070 printer despite having full ink cartridges, there are several steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue:

  • Check Ink Levels: Ensure that the color ink cartridges are installed correctly and have sufficient ink. You can check the ink levels through the printer software on your computer or directly on the printer's control panel.
  • Printer Maintenance: Run a printer maintenance cycle, which may include options like printhead cleaning or alignment. Refer to your printer's manual or documentation on how to perform these tasks.
  • Print Quality Settings: Check the print quality settings in your printer preferences or settings. Make sure the print quality is set to the highest resolution for better color output.
  • Color Settings in Software: Verify the color settings in the software you are using to print. Ensure that the color settings match your printing needs and that grayscale or black-and-white printing is not selected accidentally.
  • Update Printer Drivers: Make sure you have the latest printer drivers installed on your computer. Check the HP website for any available driver updates and install them if needed.
  • Color Calibration: Some printers have a color calibration option. Check if your printer has this feature and run a calibration process to ensure accurate color reproduction.
  • Check for Software Updates: Ensure that your printer's firmware is up to date. Visit the HP support website to check for any firmware updates for your printer model.
  • Inspect the Printhead: If your printer has a removable printhead, inspect it for any clogs or dried ink. Clean the printhead according to the HP instructions. If the printhead is non-removable, refer to the manual for guidance on cleaning procedures.
  • Test with a Different Document: Print a different document or image to rule out issues with a specific file. Sometimes, the problem may be related to the content of the file you are trying to print.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.-
