I would love to read your previous post, but I can't find it in this thread. So where might I find it? I see that you are an HP employee, so how about posting a link to where the reply can be read at or even better yet, why not find it and copy and paste it here to let me know how to resolve my issue. Or even better better yet, just kindly write out your reply once more so that I and Melissa could read it.
Thanks

Make sure you are using HP ink cartridges. Check the ink levels and change any empty ink cartridges. If you have tried all the steps mentioned in this document - Black Ink Not Printing, Other Print Quality Issues, and the issue persist, I'm afraid the issue is with the printer.
Please reach out to the HP Technical Support team in your region regarding the service/replacement options for your printer.
You may create a case on the website to obtain a case number if required. Kindly watch this video to know how.
Keep me posted for any other assistance.

It's actually the cyan ink that is not working, but anyway, I've put in brand new HP cartridges. I'm on the HP Ink Plan and it's a brand new cartridge. I actually went and put in all new cartridges. I did 3 cleanings and I tried to do an alignment page, but since the blue doesn't work it wouldn't align. It used up a lot of ink on those 3 cleanings and all that comes out on the printed page is horizontal lines of blue.
the printer is a HP Inkjet6890 it's not that old and I'd really like to keep it if at all possible. I love the bluetooth features and I've always had HP products. My computer is even HP as is my laptop. I've really never had this problem until I got on the Mail order monthly program, since then the ink doesn't seem to last as long as the HP ones I buy at Walmart.
thanks for replying back, I'll check out that link when I return home.

If you have used all new ink cartridges and the issue persists, I'm afraid this is a hardware failure. If the printer is under warranty, contact HP Support as mentioned for a replacement.
If the printer is out of warranty, I suggest you upgrade the printer. You may visit Hp Store to check the available printers.
Keep me posted for any other assistance.

Thank you Kumar but I have already scrapped the printer and bought an Epson. Please tell HP to get their “s$#t together if they don’t want to keep losing customers. To have a printer crap out after 2 years is unacceptable. Also that monthly ink program is complete garbage!

I have this exact problem, as do a number of other people who look like they also have signed up to the forum to try to get this fixed. Blue does not print at all, even though my Printer Stus Report shows a HP 902 cartridge just installed yesterday. Copies also do not not print any blue tone.
