I have an Office Jet Pro 8034e and am getting a "not compatible" error message on only the cyan cartridge. I replaced all 4 cartridges and this is the only one having an issue. This is also the second set of cartridges I have replaced with the same issue.

Hi @VegasTyrone,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The "not compatible" error message for the cyan ink cartridge on your HP OfficeJet Pro 8034e can be frustrating, especially after replacing the cartridge multiple times. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the issue.
Check Cartridge Compatibility:
- Ensure that the cyan cartridge you are using is specifically designed for the OfficeJet Pro 8034e. Sometimes, compatible or third-party cartridges may not work correctly.
Inspect the Cartridge:
- Remove the cyan cartridge and check for any protective tape or seals that may not have been removed.
- Look for any physical damage to the cartridge, such as cracks or leaks.
Clean the Contacts:
- Use a soft, lint-free cloth or a cotton swab lightly moistened with distilled water to gently clean the copper contacts on the cartridge and the contacts inside the printer where the cartridge connects.
- Allow the contacts to dry completely before reinserting the cartridge.
Reset the Printer:
- Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, and wait for about 60 seconds.
- Plug it back in, turn it on, and check if the error persists.
Update Printer Firmware:
- Ensure your printer's firmware is up to date. You can check for updates through the HP Smart app or the HP website.
Try a Different Cartridge:
- If possible, try using a different cyan cartridge, preferably an original HP cartridge, to see if the issue persists.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
