Ink for my printer was ordered from Staples; the HP website considers Staples an HP seller. Therefore, why am I having problems printing now? The numbers on the ink cartridges don't have an "n" at the end, like the ones listed on the HP website. Can I ask for a replacement or refund from HP for the ones I ordered? Then I'll order from the HP website from now on, if that will get my printer to print again.

If Staples sold you 3rd party ink when you were under the impression that you were buying OEM cartridges, your beef is with Staples, not HP. I work for an HP Authorized Partner and yes we sell both HP and 3rd party, but always ensure the customer knows exactly what they are purchasing.
