I installed the HP 61 black ink cartridge and immediately received the following 2 errors on my first print attempt: 1) "Ink Cartridge(s) Problem. The following ink Cartridge(s) must be replaced"(black double triangle symbol) and 2) "Ink Cartridge Failure -- black Cartridges listed above are damaged or have failed. Remove them and replace with new cartridges. To order a genuine HP replacement cartridge online, click Buy Now."
I purchased the ink cartridge at The Source and they informed me that there were defective cartridges with recalls and to contact HP directly for a refund or replacement.

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).
