I signed up recently with HP instaink program however the last 2 months when I try to print it may take 15 minutes or more to print anything. Very frustrating, sometimes I just cancel the job, later find it is printed.

Hi @BEA54

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be glad to help you!

It sounds like you're experiencing a significant delay with your HP OfficeJet 3833 printer, especially since signing up for the HP Instant Ink program. Here are some steps to troubleshoot and potentially resolve this issue:

1. Check Printer Connection:

  • If you're connected wirelessly, ensure that your Wi-Fi signal is strong and stable. Try moving the printer closer to your router.
  • If using USB, make sure the cable is securely connected and not damaged.

2. Restart Devices:

  • Restart your printer, computer, and router. This can refresh the connections and clear any temporary glitches.

3. Update Printer Firmware and Software:

  • Make sure your printer firmware is up to date. You can check for updates via the HP Smart app or by visiting the HP Support website.
  • Also, ensure the HP printer driver and software on your computer are up to date.

4. Check Print Queue:

  • Clear the print queue on your computer. Sometimes, a stuck print job can cause delays.
  • On Windows, go to Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners, select your printer, and click Open queue to clear any pending jobs.

5. Reinstall the Printer Driver:

  • Uninstall and then reinstall the printer driver. Sometimes a corrupted driver can cause delays.

Please find the remaining steps in the next post.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance

Hi @BEA54 ,

Please find the remaining steps below.

6. Check for Network or Firewall Interference:

  • Ensure that your firewall or antivirus settings aren't blocking the communication between your printer and computer.
  • Temporarily disable the firewall to see if it improves the printing speed.

7. HP Instant Ink and Printer Status:

  • Log in to your HP Instant Ink account to check if there are any alerts or notifications regarding your printer.
  • Ensure that your Instant Ink cartridges are properly installed and recognized by the printer.

8. Print Directly to the Printer:

  • If you are printing through a cloud service or HP Smart app, try printing directly from your computer to see if it speeds up the process.

9. Reset the Printer:

  • Perform a reset on your printer to restore its default settings. This can often resolve performance issues.

If these steps don’t resolve the issue, there might be a deeper hardware or firmware problem. In that case, contacting HP Phone Support  would be the next best step,
