My printer diagnosis says that my cartridges have ink but nothing prints.  Is this just a failure in the printer head?  Will I need a new printer?  Is there a way to diagnose what's happing here?

I understand the printer is printing blank. Let us try these steps:

 

Clean the ink cartridges as mentioned in this document - Color or Black Ink Not Printing

You may print a Print Quality Diagnostic Page as shown in this document to check the result- Printing Self-Test Pages

 

This printer supports printing in single-cartridge mode. Insert one ink cartridge at a time and try making a standalone copy in black and color to check if that works. By this, we can identify the defective ink cartridge.
