HP DeskJet 4222e All-in-One Printer

Hello.

I have been a more than happy HP customer for a number of years for my small business home office.

Been through a number of Printers and recently replaced an older HP printer for a DeskJet 4222e which i use with my HP Envy computer.

After receiving replacement ink Cartridges from our usual office supply company (they were refilled/recycled units as i have been using for years with ZERO issues), my HP printer will not recognise the NON-HP cartridges.

I have been told that i need to Disable HP Cartridge Protection but i am unable to do it.

I had issues with setting up the new printer at the start and had a member of the HP online Tech Support set it up remotely for me.

I did not opt in for the "instant Ink" service but now wonder was something locked on my system which i cannot unlock.

Any help would be greatly appreciated or i may have to change away from my favoured HP system.

You have been informed wrongly, HP cartridge protection has nothing to do with your issue.

Cartridge Protection: This feature permanently associates toner cartridges with a specific printer, or fleet of printers, so they cannot be used in other printers. Protecting cartridges protects your investment. When this feature is enabled, if someone attempts to transfer a protected cartridge from the original printer into an unauthorized printer, that printer will not print with the protected cartridge. The printer control panel displays a message that the cartridge is protected, and it provides information explaining how to proceed.
