7740WF all in one
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I am trying to disable the firmware for cartridge protection in a 7740 WF All-in-one printer. Windows 10 64 bit system.

By going to the printer IP address under settings, I am not given the option to choose cartridge protection.

I am also not able to disable it through the printer driver on my computer through control panel.

The printer itself does not have this option either.

Any thoughts?

It should be in the Tools tab not Settings.

Open Tools tab on the left side should be Cartridge settings and under Cartridge settings you will find cartridge protection.

You also have a search bar top right search for Cartridge protection if you can't find it under tools tab

Thank you for the help with this. I see where you are going. After reading what cartridge protection is defined as, I realize that I need to address the situation is a separate post.
