HP ENVY 6032e All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My HP Envy 6032e printer will not accept a generic ink cartridge. I understood that it was illegal to prevent the use of generic equipment in this way. I've tried all of the workarounds suggested on the internet but none works. The printer is connected to the internet and I have followed the suggestions to disable the cartridge protection feature but I cannot find this option to disable.

Any advice or assistance would be much appreciated.

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).

The French office of HP has been less than helpful. They've sent me 2 emails. The first to tell me the file number with no suggestions to rectify my problems and saying not to reply. The second email said that if they hear no further they will close the case and if I have any further problems to go to their assistance page. 

This is not the level of after sales service that I would expect from HP.
