HP ENVY Inspire 7955e All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 11

I bought an Envy inspire 7955e printer, after setup the print quality check has no cyan and no light cyan  on it. Did cartridge clean and align from the printer setup and the mobile app couple of times. Either one worked. I thought I may have a defected cartridge or printer so I went and replace it at the store and the same issue with the replacement printer. Not sure if it’s the issue with it’s firmware or this series has this issue.

Hi @NIGHTKID1027,

Welcome to the HP Support Community

I understand you are facing a print quality issue with your HP  printer. Not to worry I will help you to get a resolution to resolve the issue.

To assist better:

  • Does the copy print out the same way?
  • What's the application you are trying to print from?
  • Have you tried printing from a different application or device?

While you respond to that, let's print a Print Quality Diagnostic page -Post the Print Quality Diagnostic page here so we can help you further.

You may also refer to this document with steps to fix the " Print Quality Issues" issue applicable to your printer -  Print Quality Issues

Also, try updating the printer's firmware - HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

I have the same issue with the same printer model that I received brand new yesterday, September 22. I have up to date firmware and have run the clean cartridges routine three times.

I will add that I am printing from a Chromebook, latest version. I have tried printing web pages, powerpoint presentations, photos, etc. Which I guess is irrelevant since the printer's own print diagnostic confirms the problem, the cyan blocks are blank.

The issue is resolved with a new cartridge shipped from HP. The one that came with the printer is broken.

Is it possible the one that came with my printer is broken as well?

I wasted paper and ink, everything coming out red.

I ran the clean cartridges program on the printer and the report had no cyan or light cyan.

Cleaned the cartridges and still got the same result.

I bought one and had this same problem out of the box. I exchanged it for the same one and it had almost the identical problem regardless of how many times I aligned and cleaned the print heads. I have had HP printers for more than 20 years with great results. I will now switch brands due to poor quality control with this cartridge design.

Just purchased this printer and having the same issue. The cartridge that came with the printer was crap only yellow printed.  Had ordered HP ink separate of the purchase of the printer and now I'm sort of getting magenta but still no cyan.

Followed all steps, all diagnostics, etc and still nothing!  Piece of crap .. .getting ready to return the printer

Same issue; second printer, same problem.  I signed up for the 6 month free ink.  This starter pack is awful!  I have gotten the runaround trying to get this resolved.
