Hi @MiniCooper3
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The "Error EO" on your printer typically indicates an issue with the ink system, even after replacing the cartridges. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:
1. Check Cartridge Installation
- Remove the cartridges and carefully reinstall them. Ensure they click into place securely and that there’s no protective tape left on them.
2. Clean the Contacts
- Gently clean the metal contacts on both the cartridges and the printer using a lint-free cloth. Any debris can interfere with proper communication.
3. Inspect for Obstructions
- Check the printer for any bits of paper or debris that may be causing the error. Make sure the ink carriage moves freely.
4. Run Printer Maintenance
- Use the printer's maintenance functions to clean the print heads and align the cartridges. This can often help resolve ink-related issues.
5. Perform a Reset
- Power off the printer and unplug it from the wall. Wait for about 60 seconds, plug it back in, and turn it on. This can sometimes clear temporary errors.
6. Check for Firmware Updates
- Visit the HP Support website and check for any firmware updates available for your printer model. Updating the firmware can sometimes resolve persistent issues.
7. Test with Another Set of Cartridges
- If possible, try using a different set of cartridges to rule out any issues with the new cartridges you installed.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
