Error - Indicated cartridges are not communicating correctly with the printer

I have a HP Envy Inspire 7255e All-in-One Printer and it was printing fine and suddenly I started getting the error message:   The Indicated cartridges are not communicating correctly with the printer.  If the problem persists replace the cartridges.  

First I did the suggestions they gave me and this did not help.  I then DID replace the cartridges with new HP cartridges and I still get the error message.  After installing the new cartridges I unplugged the printer, waited a few minutes and plugged it back in.  I was able to print 1 document and the error message returned.  Now I can do nothing.  Any suggestions?

I followed the advice of another poster and I cleaned the contact area inside the printer with a toothbrush and this seems to have resolved the issue.  At least, so far.  Thank you.

Cleaning the cartridge and printer contact(s) points (Gently wipe the gold contact points on both the cartridge and inside the cartridge slot. Avoid touching the nozzles.) will fix
