I have repeatedly had the problem of receiving an error message "Remove Shipping Lock from Cartridge" when I install new ink cartridges in my printer.  I only use HP brand cartr

Did you remove all the plastic coverings and tabs from the new ink?

 

Try a firmware update: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c02919168

Yes, I had already removed the plastic coverings and tabs.  I did remember how I solved this last time.  I moved a few of the ink cartridges to the wrong locations (put the yellow where the black goes, etc.), turned my printer off/on, then saw the error message stating that ink is in the wrong location.  Then, put the ink back in the correct locations, turned printer off/on, and no more error messages and the printer works.
