I understand you are getting the OXC4EB8000 error code on your HP DeskJet Ink Advantage 3835 All-in-One Printer usually indicates a firmware, hardware, or ink system failure. Here are some troubleshooting steps to try:

Step 1: Power Cycle the Printer

  1. Turn off the printer.
  2. Disconnect the power cord from the printer and the wall outlet.
  3. Remove all ink cartridges from the printer.
  4. Wait for about 5 minutes to clear any residual charge.
  5. Reconnect the power cord directly to the wall socket (avoid power strips).
  6. Turn on the printer (without inserting the cartridges yet).
  7. Once the printer powers up and stabilizes, reinstall the ink cartridges.

Step 2: Check for Paper Jams or Obstructions

  1. Open the printer and check for any paper jams or small obstructions.
  2. Remove any visible paper or debris carefully.
  3. Close the printer and restart it.

Step 3: Perform a Printer Reset

  1. Press and hold the power button for 10-15 seconds.
  2. Wait for the printer to restart.

Step 4: Update Firmware Update the firmware on an HP printer

  1. Go to HP's official website and check if there’s a firmware update for your printer.
  2. Download and install the update following the instructions.

Step 5: Clean the Printhead

  1. If the error persists, try removing the printhead (if removable).
  2. Clean the printhead contacts with a lint-free cloth slightly dampened with distilled water.
  3. Allow it to dry, then reinstall it.

Step 6: Factory Reset (If Error Persists)

  1. On the printer's control panel, go to Setup > Printer Maintenance > Restore Defaults.
  2. Select Restore Factory Defaults and confirm.
