HP ENVY 4520 All-in-One Printer

Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Error message:

 

Cartridge Problem:  Remove & reinstall the indicated cartridge, making sure it is correctly installed.

 

I've removed and reinstalled the cartridge several times.  I've made sure all firmware is up to date.  I've done a hard reset of the printer.  Still getting the same error.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

 

I see that you are facing an issue with your printer that has an ink cartridge error.

Please follow the steps below to fix the issue.

 

A) Perform a power drain.

1) Take out the cartridges

2) Unplug the power cord from the printer & wall.

3) Press and hold the power button down for 15 seconds and release the power button, wait for about 30 seconds.

4) Plug the power cord back into the printer and wall, ensure the printer is plugged into the wall & not into a surge protector.

5) Insert the cartridges back into the printer.

Remove the cartridges > Unplug the power cord > Wait for 30 seconds > Plug the power cord back in > Insert the cartridges

 

B) Kindly refer to the steps on this link to further troubleshoot and let me know if that resolves the issue.

 

C) If the issue still persists, refer to the steps on this link to restore factory defaults and let me know if that resolves the issue.

Thanks for the suggestions. Unfortunately-  I had already located these tasks and tried them all 4 times.   Plus others. Finally gave up and went out and bought an Epson.   Ink Tank. The fact that NO MATTER WHAT was done the same cycle of ERROR messages and suggested tasks continued to appear and the online options available were so severely limiited, led to a complete frustration with HP and the machine design.   No one to call,  No immediate assistance online, etc.  Even for a fee. This was my 5th HP all in one. Will now toss it and likely never buy another....
