Hi there,

I have just replaced both of my cartridges (using the ones shipped to me via hpinstant ink) after being prompted on HP smart. The colour is working fine but it’s not printing black at all. I inserted it correctly and ade sure to remove the plastic tab but it seems there is a fault with the ink cartridge. Is there anything I can do?

Many thanks,

Heidi

Apologies for the delay!

No I haven’t resolved the issue. I have installed the cartridge and this is what has been printed. I have cleaned the printer head several times but when running a test print page only the colour cartridge prints. I have tried printing a page with text only and the page prints blank. I have definitely removed the plastic tape on the cartridge before installing it but it appears the ink isn’t coming out of the cartridge along the metal strip (as it is on the colour one).

Do I just have a defective cartridge?

Many thanks for your help
