I am having an issue with my new printer with warping when I print documents with images on them. I am trying to print a manual that contains a lot of text and small images around 2x2in in size. The papers come out completely warped and will not lay flat at all. Even if the pages contain a lightly coloured footer bar, it will warp that as well. I now have a binder that looks like it got soaked with water as none of the pages sit remotely flat.

I am printing on Xerox 24lb 90g/m paper with colorlok for laser and inkjet. I tried setting the printer to "draft", no change other than quality. Tried using "light paper/recycled", no change. Lower DPI made no difference either.
It seems like the printer is trying to print out photo quality images and soaking the paper in ink, even for document like graphics/charts it does this. Its impossible to make any sort of professional or even clean prints from this.

Welcome to the HP English Community --

Perhaps consider using heavier paper.

Standard 24lb office paper is generally useful for text -- it might not be heavy enough to handle both text and image printing.  Note this is an opinion based on my experience -- I will not defend the comment as "fact".

The printer supports Professional Paper (32lb) -- I use this in my OfficeJet Pro 9135e.

I print text, mixed text and images, cards (general purpose), and image only documents or photos on this paper.

If the printer objects to the "plain paper" setting type when using the heavier paper, set the type to Brochure in both the printer and the job configuration settings.
