@RADCO,

I’m here to help you troubleshoot your issue and get things back on track. Just follow these steps below, and we’ll have you running smoothly in no time:

  • Low ink can cause streaks. Ensure the ink cartridges are not empty or dried out.
  • Use the printer's built-in function to clean the print head. This can be found in the printer’s settings or on the printer's screen.
  • Run the nozzle check utility to see if any nozzles are clogged. Clean them if needed.
  • Misalignment can cause print quality issues. Run the alignment tool in the printer's settings.
  • If the cartridges appear old or damaged, consider replacing them.
  • Ensure you're using the right paper type.
  • Ensure your printer drivers are up to date on your computer. Visit HP’s website for the latest version.
  • Ensure there's nothing blocking the ink cartridges or the print path.

I’m pretty confident this will do the trick! But hey, if you run into any bumps along the way or need a little extra help, just give me a shout! I’ve got your back. 💪

You were right the problem is with my printhead black nozzel test does not print good.  Cannot clean the printhead with print head cleaner solution because black is blocked.  I need a new printhead.  OR  I need help in cleaning a bad clog.  I tried distilled water with a syringe to flush the black nozzel but I does not work, too much back pressure on the syringe.

Hey @RADCO,

It sounds like the printhead is pretty clogged, and I understand how frustrating that can be 😣. If the syringe method with distilled water didn’t work due to the back pressure, it might be a sign that the clog is pretty stubborn.

Here are a couple of other suggestions you could try before going for a new printhead:

Soaking the printhead: Remove the printhead and gently soak it in warm distilled water (or printhead cleaning solution if available) for about 30 minutes. This can help dissolve stubborn ink clogs.

Use a cleaning solution specifically for printheads: If distilled water didn’t work, you might want to try a dedicated printhead cleaning solution. These solutions are designed to break down ink buildup more effectively.

Try a more gradual syringe flush: Instead of going for a quick, hard flush, try applying gentle pressure over a longer period, allowing the water or cleaning solution to slowly break through the clog.

If none of this work, unfortunately, a new printhead may be the next step. But hopefully, one of these methods can help clear up the issue without needing a replacement! 😊

Good luck, and I hope this helps!
