Printer showing ALL 4 cartridges are depleted and need replacing. All four cannot be empty at the same time AND in any event (i) I can hear ink sloshing around inside the cartridges (ii) they were all replaced 3 days ago! I've had nothing but trouble with this printer since I got it, always ink cartridge issues, and I've changed many cartridges before that clearly have ink in them. Any suggestions? Has this printer been designed sensibly so that if there is a blatant false error, like this one, you can override it? If not, this printer will be going in the bin. Awful product.

Hi @GN11,

Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I see that you are facing cartridge issues with your HP OfficeJet Pro 9010 All in One Printer wherein you get an error cartridges are empty.

Please follow the steps listed below to clean the cartridge contacts.

1. Open the door or lid to the cartridge access area. Wait until the carriage stops moving before continuing.

2. Remove the cartridge indicated in the error message from the carriage.

3. Wipe the copper-colored contact on the cartridge with a lint-free cloth.

4. Reinstall the cartridge.

5. Repeat these steps for any other cartridges indicated in the error message.

6. Close the door or lid to the cartridge access area.

No, I've done all the standard troubleshooting. Nothing works. For ALL 4 cartridges to become 'empty' at exactly the same time 3 days after installing them does not sound like an actual cartridge error to me. A useful solution would be how to override the 'empty' error when clearly the cartridges are FULL.
