You have had 9 days to seek help from the internal HP team and this has not been done and know information has been provided to your customers. This is not acceptable.

No info from HP. I've submitted a support ticket, and they closed it saying I have to go and buy cartridges, sent me a link to HP store, where these cartridges are out of stock. Pretty stupid.

Hello Betty, 2  additional weeks go by with no updates.  HP has now convinced me to never buy their product again when we cannot get any updates nor solutions to a problem that HP knows about but obviously does not care about.  Misery likes company.  I will not hesitate to share this awful experience with as many people as I can.  After 4 weeks I feel I have been very patient and expected as a minimum some communication beyond what you wrote.  I applaud you for trying to make a difference but it is obvious HP is no longer the company that it once was.  It is highly disappointing.

Thank you for your knowledge regarding the shortage of HP910 ink cartridges.  This explains everything now.  I use a lot of colored ink, and noticed I was blowing through ink cartridges.  Assumed I was not properly tracking the purchase and depletion dates, but honestly have had much greater concerns amidst the Covid-19 pandemic.  In my chemistry classroom I also have a personal and older HP 8610 printer which outperforms my newer HP 8020, and uses HP 950 ink cartridges.  Having been loyal to HP from college until now, I fully expect compensation and a proper explanation for the situation and an apology for the inconvenience and lack of their notification.

Thank you and yes I agree.  The amount of time I have spent searching for replacement cartridges as well as the ink cartridges that expeditiously spent the ink, is not becoming of a vendor to whom I have been loyal to for 20 years.

Where did you find the recall notices?  You know more than I do.  Very frustrated too.

I chatted with HP who confirmed there is a recall.  However, she could not give me any details, which is terrible.  She told me to call tech support, I tried calling, and today is the 3rd time I'm calling to try to get through which is terrible.  Why does HP make it so hard to find information and help customers?

The HP 910 cartridges were recalled from retailers by HP.   The colored cartridges either didn't work properly or quickly ran out of ink.

After many attempts to contact a knowledgeable associate at HP, I was informed that the problem lies with the production of the cartridges in Malaysia and China.  I was also told that HP has no firm idea as to when the color HP 910 cartridges would again be available.  All you can do is regularly call your retailer(s) and ask if the cartridges are back in stock.

I seriously doubt that I will ever buy another HP product!

The PM to the customer who initially posted the question was nice but what about the rest of us who are in the same boat? We just bought the printer in late summer for my business and now I cannot print any signage for my shop except in black and even that is sketchy on some pages even though I just install a new black XL cartridge.  What is HP's plan for the ink/printers and how soon - I am heading into my busy season and need to be able to print in color ASAP.

I think there's enough people frustrated and in the same situation, that maybe a a public reply is in order.

Or risk losing all these customers to a company that cares.
