HI, my HP printer is causing some problems with print quality. It seems that when a print is happening some toner residue gets stuck somewhere in the printer process and gets re-printed just smudged. Please look at the picture for reference, the issue is difficult to explain. I have tried to clean the inside, but that did not resolve the issue. I have some theories as to why this is happening. Maybe it is the transfer unit or some of the rollers used in the printing proces, but I am not sure. Hopefully someone out there can help me diagnose this issue. Thanks 🙂

Hello @bachie ,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!

  1. help: https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c06232924
    - Print a Supplies Information report
    - Print a Usage Counter report
    only check for discrepancies
  2. check: https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c06216537
under Step 5: Inspect the toner cartridges and imaging drum
    - from 1 to 8:
    - > Examine the memory chip for damage
    - > Examine the surface of the imaging drum

under Step 6: Clean the inside of the printer

  3. print a Demo Page

If that doesn't help, then please, Supplies Information report, upload here.
But before you must remove or delete host name and printer serial number on the printout.

Kind Regards
