Hi @NVSN,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are facing printing issues with your new HP ENVY Inspire 7200e. Let's troubleshoot the problem together. Here are a few steps you can try:

  • Check Printer Settings: Ensure that the printer settings on your Mac are configured to print in color. Sometimes, documents default to grayscale or black and white printing.
  • Verify Ink Levels: Confirm that the color ink cartridges are properly installed and have sufficient ink levels. You mentioned they are new and full, but it's worth double-checking.
  • Clean Print Heads: Use the printer's built-in maintenance tools to clean the print heads. This can help clear any clogs or issues that might be preventing the printer from properly dispensing color ink.
  • Update Printer Drivers: Ensure that you have the latest printer drivers installed on your Mac. Sometimes, outdated drivers can cause printing issues . Software and Drivers for HP ENVY Inspire 7200e series
  • Restart Printer and Mac: Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve connectivity or software-related issues. Try restarting both your printer and your Mac.
  • Print Test Page: Print another test page from your Mac to see if the issue persists. If it prints in color, the problem might be specific to certain applications or documents.
  • Check Application Settings: If the issue only occurs with certain applications or documents, check their print settings to ensure they are set to print in color.
  • Update macOS: Ensure that your macOS Ventura is up-to-date. Sometimes, software updates can resolve compatibility issues.
  • Reset Printer Preferences: If none of the above steps work, you can try resetting the printer preferences on your Mac. This will reset all printer settings to their defaults.

Hi @Gaya1239

i logged in to see if there had been a reply yesterday (12.06.24) but could not find one - sorry!  so i did a whats app chat with HP support and it was rectified by changing settings in advanced settings (changing name of printer by deleting FE761A / at bonjour highest priority service changing to 9100) then deleting the previous printer name and making the new one the default and it has worked
