Hi,
This is strange problem. I just purchased new HP envy 5070 to print paper and photos. While trying to print photo, i used the recommended HP 4*6 HP Glossy paper. But when i load the paper glossy side down, it is unable to detect the paper. Accidentally, I reversed the paper, it detected the paper and printed it. But the quality of color print was pathetic with ink( pre-installed ink by HP) smudged all over the place. How can i resolve this problem ?

Hi,
did you set the correct paper type and size for the printer?
When you load the paper faced up, close the door, and evaluate the shown promptly.
You should change both the Paper Size to 6 x 4 and the Paper Type to Speciality Paper, Glossy, or whatever option that includes the work Glossy.
Also, make sure you set the correct paper size and type on the computer too, within the Print dialog.
If you experience further issues, please clarify what exact HP paper is used, its exact name, and product number.
