Hi @HankD1, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
We understand that you are unable to print color after replacing the cartridges. Please follow these steps,

1. Open the ink cartridge access door, and then wait for the carraige to stop moving.

2. Remove each cartridge from the printer. Make sure to hold each cartridge by the sides.

3. Remove any protective tape that might be on the cartridges.

CAUTION: Do not touch the copper-colored contacts or the ink nozzles. Touching these parts can result in clogs, an ink system failure, and a failed electrical connection.

4. Check for and remove any obstructions around the printer carriage.

5. Replace any cartridges that are low or out of ink. If you have an ink tank printer, make sure each ink tank is filled to the minimum fill line.

6. Reinstall the cartridges into their correct slots, and then make sure they are firmly seated.

7. Close the ink cartridge access door.

Clean the ink cartridges

1. On the printer control panel, touch Menu.

2. Scroll down to Utilities, and then touch Tools.

3. Touch Troubleshooting, and then Cartridge Cleaning.

4. Touch Level 1.

After printhead cleaning completes, the printer prints a Print Quality Diagnostic Report.

5. Examine the Print Quality Diagnostic Report.

If the print quality is acceptable, you can stop troubleshooting.

If the print quality is not acceptable, touch Level 2 to clean the printheads again.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
