@ekmey, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

If your HP Envy 7800 All-in-One printer is missing parts of sentences or lines when printing, there could be several causes related to print quality. Here are some steps to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue:

Check Cartridge Installation: Make sure the ink cartridges are properly installed in their respective slots. Remove and reinsert them to ensure a secure connection.

Align the Printheads: Misalignment can cause issues with printing. Align the printheads using the printer's maintenance menu:

  • From the printer's control panel, navigate to the setup or maintenance section and select "Printer Maintenance."
  • Choose the option to "Align Printheads" or "Align Cartridges" and follow the on-screen instructions.

Clean the Printheads: Printhead issues can also lead to missing lines in prints. Use the printer's cleaning function:

  • Access the printer's settings through the control panel.
  • Navigate to "Maintenance" and select "Clean Printheads." Follow the steps provided.

Check for Software or Driver Updates: Ensure that you have the latest drivers installed for your printer. Visit the HP Support website and download any updates available for your printer model.

Use Genuine HP Cartridges: Using non-genuine cartridges can sometimes lead to print quality issues. Ensure that the cartridges are genuine HP products.

Check Paper Type Settings: Ensure that the paper type setting in the printer matches the paper you are using. Incorrect settings can affect print quality.

Inspect the Print Quality Settings: Sometimes, adjusting the print quality settings can improve the output:

  • In the print dialog box of your computer, select a higher print quality setting or adjust other settings to see if print quality improves.

Check for Obstructions: Occasionally, debris or a foreign object can block the print mechanisms. Inspect the inside of the printer and gently clean any visible blockages.

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
