HP Envy 7855 Printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

I have a HP Envy 7855 printer American spec which utilizes cartridge HP64. This model is dual voltage. I currently am living in Germany, and only have access to the European spec ink cartridge HP303, which is the European equivalent to HP64 ink cartridge.

Unfortunately when I try to use the HP303 ink cartridge in my HP Envy 7855 printer , I get an "incompatible in cartridge" error. I have updated my firmware and chose Germany as my region for the printer setup. I also when into my printer IP address setting and turned cartridge protection off. What settings can I manipulate in order to use the European HP303 ink cartridge ?

Welcome to HP Support Community!

We need to perform a regional reset on the printer to resolve this issue.

The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.

I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.
