@Tcolett

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Is the Printer enrolled in Instant Ink? Are you able to copy?

Let's try to reset the Printer here:

Reset the product

  • With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  • Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  • Wait at least 60 seconds.
  • Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
  • Reconnect the power cord to the printer.
  • Turn the printer on. HP recommends plugging the printer directly into a wall outlet.

Also, try connecting the Printer to a different wall outlet directly.

Let me know if this helps.

Cartridges are full. Message says to contact Instant Ink website, but we are not subscribers. Have tried suggested fixes - unplugging, etc and still get same message. The printer is not new and has printed in the past. Any ideas??

If you insert your old ink, do you still get the error message?

Still get the error message with old cartridge (which was from instant ink). New cartridge is not from them. Any more thoughts?

And you unsubscribed from the Instant Ink Program before you inserted the non-instant ink cartridges (regular ink)?

Printer is in a condo I rented and elderly owner didn’t indicate she was subscribed when I asked her. Is that the issue? If so I will pass that along to her as she would be the one to act on it. Thanks!

Also, check if the ink cartridges in the Printer say they are instant ink cartridges.

They are not

Let's disable the web services. You can press the ePrint icon on the Printer.
