I am very disappointed with the Instant Ink Program. I had problems last year with bad cartridges and this year I have not received any cartridges at all. I have contacted HP Instant ink numerous times with no satisfaction.  Today is the second time I have tried to cancel this program and even though I have received NO ink cartridges since last year I am being billed $5 every month and now they tell me they will bill me an additional $5 at the end of this billing cycle which will be in May. This is a RIP OFF program! It is a SCAM!  DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THIS PROGRAM! I even have cartridges that were not used last year on a different model number 8020 in which I had to return the printer to Costco because it was not working properly and I cannot use those cartridges in this model number 8035 ----- and the cartridges are exactly the same! A few weeks ago customer service said they would expedite out some cartridges but they have still not arrived!  I will NEVER sign up again.

@347Laura, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

I understand your concern. However, you will not receive Instant Ink cartridges every month. You will receive them only when any one of the Instant Ink cartridges is low/empty.

Yes, you will still be billed every month. You are being billed for the number of pages you print per month.

For more info on how Instant Ink works, kindly refer to this page.

If you have not yet cancelled the service and if the ink is low/empty, please send me a private message with your Instant Ink account details or you may also respond to the private message I've sent out and I'll help you out, accordingly. Check next to your profile name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
