HP ENVY 6055e All-in-One Printer

Hello All,

My father-in-law gave me a6055E envy, and I wanted to enroll it into HP InstaInk.

My issue is he threw away the original ink cartages, and while I'm registered, the HP portal says "Cartridge Error: We can't determine your next shipment, because we aren't able to read your ink levels"

Is there any way around this?

General help on instant ink management

I do not have an instant ink printer. My understanding is that if you run out of ink you can use genuine Hewlett Packard cartridges either original or refilled. They must have an HP chip in the cartridge.

If the setup cartridges were thrown away, you will  need to speak to an HP representative or ask Microsoft's Copilot how to bypass the setup cartridges.
