The error message listed in your reply, "'Install Black Cartridge' Displays" is not the error message I received.
The error message I received was, " Indicated cartridges blocked for containing a non-HP chip. More at www.hp.com/learn.ds"
Please provide directions for this error message. Thank you.
I purchased these three cartridges from Staples in factory sealed containers. Once I put the depleted cartridges back in the printer it powered up fine with no error messages. I spoke to the Staples store manager. He has not heard of any other problems with the cartridges they have sold. I look forward to your reply to the error message I received for my model of printer (see subject line for details). Thank you.

I received the same error message after installing a new genuine HP cartridge: The error message I received was, " Indicated cartridges blocked for containing a non-HP chip. More at www.hp.com/learn.ds"
Please send me the resetting procedure.
