Hello,
My HP Officejet PRO X551dw printing issue is that approximately one inch of the print quality is missing. I have cleaned the duplex unit and ink cartridges using isopropyl alcohol to no avail. When I print I continue to see @1" of the print missing through the entire page. I have run all the diagnostic tools @8 times and still continue to have the same issue. Please advise if and if the brand new ink cartridges need to be replaced or if there's another issue I am not seeing to help resolve this issue. I would have attached a screen shot of what is happening but cannot do so. Thank you.

Unfortunately it appears you have a failure in the printhead for your HP Officejet Pro x551dw. I suggest you Contact HP for repair or replacement options. You can check your product warranty here.

The Officejet Pro X551dw is a very large assembly built into the printer. Unlike other Officejet models that have a printhead that moves side to side across the page while printing, this printhead is very large ( the width of the paper) and fixed in place. I do not believe the printhead is a user servicable part, you will need to contact HP for service.
The printhead is about a foot wide and looks something like this:
