I have an HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus printer that does not seem to support a brand new and official HP950XL Z10 cartridge. I have tried all the reset and other debug steps, but nothing works. The FW is the latest. The color cartridges are HP951XL Z10 and work well. The odd thing is that HP950 Z10 is listed as supported but not the XL version.

Hi Elohi,
Thanks for the reply. As I mentioned in my first post, the FW is up to date.
I have tried all the debug steps, eg hard reset, swapping old/new cartridges, a couple of times and they didn't help. The only remaining item is to try and swap the cartridge at the retailer, but I am trying to avoid that as it takes some effort to do that and they might not accept it. So I'm hoping to make the first cartridge I bought work as expected.
Do you know why the HP 950XL Z10 is not listed as a Supported Cartridge? This seems to be the root problem.
